Coloring

Consultations

All coloring, perm, and straightening appointments require an email consultation to be done by at least 1~2 weeks prior to the appointment date.

If this cannot be completed within the time frame, unfortunately, we may need to cancel your appointment and reschedule to a later date.

Consultations are done via email. Please send the following information to contact@salondefi.com and in the subject, please indicate which appointment you are doing a consultation for (coloring consultation, perm consultation, straightening consultation). One of our staff members will reply to you as soon as possible.

You can book an appointment first and then do the consultation but please book in advance to allow for time to do the email consultation.

For coloring, please send us a few photos of your hair:

  1. A couple photos of your current hair 

  2. A reference photo of the color that you are looking to do

Additionally, please send us your answers to the following questions: 

  1. Have you ever bleached your hair before in the past? 

  2. In the past 2 years, have you ever dyed your hair black? 

Perms

For perms (digital or cold perms), please send us a few photos of your hair:

  1. A couple photos of your current hair

  2. A reference photo of the type of perm that you are looking to do

Additionally, please send us your answers to the following question:

  1. Is your hair currently colored? If yes, has the coloring been done with bleach (including highlights or balayage styles as well)?

  2. Have you had a perm done in the past? If so, when was your last appointment and where did you have it done?

Straightening

For Japanese Straightening, please send us a few photos of your hair:

  1. A couple photos of your hair when it is wet

  2. A couple photos of your hair after it has been dried (Please do not straighten your hair for this photo!)

Additionally, please send us your answers to the following questions:

  1. Have you done straightening before in the past? If yes, when was your last straightening appointment? Where did you get it done?

  2. Is your hair currently colored? If yes, has the coloring been done with bleach (including highlights or balayage styles as well)?

  3. Please tell us about your hair texture: is it wavy or do you have tight curls? Would you say you have thick or thin hair? Do you have Caucasian, Asian, or African hair texture?
